Italy-based hydrogen technology manufacturer SIAD Macchine Impianti (SIAD MI) will supply hydrogen solutions specialist Nel with hydrogen compressors, according to a framework agreement signed between the partners yesterday (15th September).
The opening order of the deal included the supply of two HMS4-4 wet hydrogen compressors and one MS3-3 oxygen compressor to be installed in a 20-megawatt (MW) plant located in Sweden.
Having produced and distributed technical gases for almost a century through its parent company SIAD, SIAD MI is ideally positioned to partner with Nel.
Commenting on the agreement, Fabio Margheritti, Business Development Manager, SIAD MI, said, “It is very important to provide our customers with competitive solutions in terms of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership): through this framework agreement we have achieved this goal, which is even more significant in the green hydrogen application.”
gasworld understands that Nel will utilise the deal to ramp-up deliveries of competitive water electrolysis systems for the production of compressed green hydrogen, in-line with SIAD MI’s decarbonisation goals.
“With respect to the global climate emergency, this agreement demonstrates the commitment of SIAD MI and its partners towards decarbonisation, in the transition from traditional sources of energy supply, such as coal and fossil fuels, to renewable energy sources,” said Mauro Acquati, Compressors Division Sales Manager, SIAD MI.
Italian compressor and air separation unit (ASU) manufacturer SIAD Macchine Impianti (SIAD MI) has completed work on a horizontal nitrogen compressor which will used at a new hydrocracking unit at the Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC) based in central Egypt.
