Professional Tool Reviews for Pros
Choosing the best air compressor for your home garage or shop can be an exercise in frustration. You need something that’s going to be reliable and deliver the kind of power you need to consistently produce outstanding results across a wide range of pneumatic tools. The new Jet air compressors offer a solution for Pros that demand that kind of performance.
So what do they have to offer?
I’m so glad you asked.
The lineup consists of four Jet air compressors that range from 60 to 80 gallons and share some common features. At the top, you’ll find a replaceable air filter to pull out airborne debris before it reaches the tank. The pump benefits from cast iron material for durability suitable even in industrial applications.
The reciprocating piston design is borrowed from the automotive industry, pulling in air on the downstroke and compressing it on the upstroke. The pulleys and belt are enclosed in a metal cage that allows for visibility without risking hands and clothing getting caught up in the action.
Oil in the crankcase is monitored and each of these air compressors will shut off if the oil level gets too low to protect your investment. As well all know, moisture inside the tank is one of a compressor’s biggest enemies. Jet oriented the tank drain directly at the base to remove as much as possible.
Each of the compressors is ASME certified and comes with a 3-year warranty. For more information, check out the website. Hopefully, one day soon, Jet will join our recommendations for the best air compressor.
For those looking to save a little and who may not need over 15 HP, Jet provides their 600-series air compressor line.
